Distractions

by The National Pool

about

Distractions was released as a single. I initially wrote it to be part of the Home EP, but it didn't make the cut. Years later, I still really liked the song, so I re-recorded it. I made the cover with the help of Erin from ErinRosePhoto.com.

lyrics

“Distractions”
Lyrics by: Brad White

Verse One:

I don’t want any distractions
Don’t wanna hear the sound so loud
Running from action to action
Sway with the madness of the crowd

Chorus:
Cause always the same things happen
We feel as though we’ve changed - we haven’t
We’re fish in water, moving slow
The air we breathe, the vague hellos
And I...whatever

Verse Two:
I don’t wanna go any faster
It’s already blurring by just fine
I can see some shapes and colors
Nothing more can be defined
